Rajan is a GDC-registered Specialist in Periodontics. He graduated with honours from King’s College London at Guy's Hospital and later returned to complete his four-year Specialist training, earning a Master of Clinical Dentistry (Periodontology) and Membership in Periodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Rajan is a former President of the British Society of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry (BSP) and was elected to the BSP Faculty in 2022. He has served on BSP Council, contributed to clinical guideline development, and is the BSP East Midlands Representative. He is also a Fellow of the College of General Dentistry.
Rajan provides comprehensive non-surgical and surgical care for periodontitis and peri-implant disease. His interests include minimally invasive therapy, regenerative and pocket reduction surgery (including bone grafting and furcation management), periodontal plastic surgery for recession coverage, mucogingival procedures, and aesthetic or functional crown lengthening. He works in close collaboration on complex interdisciplinary cases, helping to optimise outcomes in restorative, orthodontic, and implant treatment. Rajan is passionate about saving teeth and establishing healthy periodontal foundations. He also provides dental implants with related soft and hard tissue grafting where required.
Rajan is a respected educator and speaker who regularly delivers hands-on training in both non-surgical and surgical periodontics. Away from work, he enjoys good coffee and quality time with his wife and daughters – though their love of Italian food usually decides where they eat!
